Mission Statement: We proudly provide safe, modern, and quality health care to all military service members, veterans, and their families, as well as all federal employees and civilian patients. We provide outpatient services to assist and alleviate the lengthy backlog typically evident with the scheduling and wait times associated with federal health care plans and providers. Symbios provides safe, effective, and evidence-based quality health care with results unparalleled by traditional practices by incorporating advanced technologies which allows us to serve as a pre-eminent extremity and injury rehabilitation center. We also provide comprehensive specialized care for our veteran population suffering with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Symbios is proud to provide compassionate, patient-oriented health care to those who need us most: our military and families, veterans, federal employees, and our civilian patients.

Symbios Integrative Health is a veteran-owned Community Care Network doctor for chronic pain and mental health issues.  The clinic was established specifically to meet veteran needs and to improve the long waits often associated with federal healthcare plans.  While it may take some time to be seen at the VA Hospital, a referral from your primary care physician to Symbios can speed up your access to healthcare.

At Symbios, we have a multi-disciplinary team of physicians and technicians that administer care with the intent to treat the root causes of your symptoms.  While pills might help relieve some of your pain, they will never make it go away for good.  Prescription medication can help you feel better and temporarily relieve the symptoms of PTSD or depression.  However, medication alone will never get rid of those issues.  That is why our clinic is focused on resolving your pain and resolving those triggers that result in an emotional response.  We want to help you get rid of them for good.

Specialized Services

Psychiatric and Counseling Services

We are accepting new patients ages 18 and older. Our services include medication management, counseling, ADHD testing, disability assessments and more.

Vecttor Therapy

Vecttor Therapy is a form of electronic medicine that utilizes interferential therapy, which is the low frequency stimulation of nerves to make changes in the body. Vecttor Therapy is FDA cleared for the symptomatic relief of chronic intractable pain with over 20 years of clinical experience treating thousands of patients. Vecttor Therapy is non-addictive with no negative side effects.

This therapy is used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions and is FDA cleared for the symptomatic relief of chronic intractable pain. The electronic stimulation of the nerves across the upper and lower body normalizes nerve responses through specific meridians to re-establish proper function of the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is an important part of the brain which is the first integration and response center for many of the body’s unconscious activities. Vecttor therapy normalizes stress responses in the body by increasing oxygen-enriched blood flow. As cells regenerate and begin working properly again, overall pain will diminish and normal functions will begin to return as biological health improves.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy

TMS is a safe and effective treatment for individuals diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have not experienced satisfactory improvement from antidepressant medication or who feel medication is causing unwanted side effects. TMS therapy can be used as stand-alone treatment or used in conjunction with prescription medication. TMS is also FDA cleared and indicated for the treatment of major depression. This device delivers magnetic pulses, stimulating specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. These areas are known to be underactive in those diagnosed with depression, and stimulating these areas can improve the brain’s ability to regulate mood.

Neurofeedback

Microcurrent neurofeedback (MCN) is a non-invasive, nonmedicinal supportive pathway to optimal brain performance. MCN uses a technology that helps the brain reorganize and balance itself, improving symptoms of PTSD, TBI, anxiety, depression and ADHD.

We utilize the IASIS MCN system which uses an FDA registered EEG device that uses brief microcurrent stimulation (3 Pico or 3 trillionths of a watt) to the nervous system, resulting in a temporary fluctuation in brainwaves.

MCN does not train the brain like traditional neurofeedback; rather it “retrains” the brain and CNS (central nervous system) by allowing it to reorganize itself and shift from its formerly fixed patterns that was not conducive to optimal mental performance.  This is analogous to re-booting a computer.
